![]() ![]() Wide receiver, tight end and quarterback values are determined based on a function of nearby RB values. In all my models, running backs are the backbone. Next, I assign rank-based trade values built on historic values as a function of positional scarcity. I feed the ranks into my database (clean up the names) and average positional ranks before running them through my model. The goal is to try to average as much of the market as I can into one analysis. The backbone of my model is seeded by the expert consensus ranks I aggregate from as many published sources as I can find. These are really a guideline to look for reasonable trades. Make sure to account for consolidating depth and trying to acquire stud players by overpaying. If you are looking at larger trades (2-for-2 or 3-for-3), you just sum the sides of each trade to get an idea of fairness. A plus value means the trade value is above ECR minus is the inverse. The ECR column is calculated based on my “Reddit Adjusted” column that I publish on Patreon, Twitter and Reddit. Players are separated into columns by position. All players and picks in a row have the same value and, in theory, could be traded for one another. These are tools to make your life easier! The left-most column is the assigned trade value for a row. Make sure to check them out because they are a little different than ECR. Use this chart to look for those buys or sells, and then make some offers.Īnother special feature of this chart is that the rookies are broken out into their own column next to a corresponding pick. The ECR (+/-) column can be used to find which players the experts here want you to buy or sell and to help identify some key market deficiencies. Then, I compared them to the calculated values of the aggregated expert consensus ranks (ECR). I was able to partner with the experts here at The Athletic to make a special chart by generating exclusive values. If I was a contender I would strongly consider selling low for a quarterback who can help me win now.But first, let’s dive right into the chart! You simply cannot start him with any confidence at all, and it's hard to see that changing with the way this offense is functioning. It's too early to give up on Fields in Dynasty, but particularly in a Dynasty league it's tough to have him on your roster right now. To make it worse, with all those team rush attempts, Fields has only produced 95 yards on 27 attempts. His yards per attempt is actually worse than it was in his rookie year and he's thrown twice as many interceptions as he has touchdowns. But the more concerning thing from a Dynasty perspective is how bad he's been when he has thrown. It's a huge storyline and has a massive impact on how we view all of the Bears. There's been much made about the fact that Fields hasn't thrown more than 17 passes in a game yet this season. While Fields has only fallen a few spots since August, it's not hard to see a potential bigger drop by midseason. He's throwing twice as many passes per game as Fields and he has Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Especially in a format where you have to start two quarterbacks, you have to prefer Tagovailoa right now. Two quarterbacks who have gone opposite directions since the start of the season are Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Fields. Every other update will be for Superflex leagues, starting with this update today. I received a lot of feedback last year about a need for a Superflex trade chart, so I will be rotating this year. We're nearly a month into the season, so it's time for our first Dynasty trade chart of the year. ![]()
